Orrin Draver was born in Nebraska in 1895, moving to Indiana when he was a boy. He worked in his father’s milling machine business until his father died in 1932. He sold the company and devoted himself entirely to painting. He was a self-taught landscape painter that largely identified with Richmond, Indiana. In Chicago his dealer was J. W. Young. He also showed at Aronoff”s Galleries and Closson’s in Cincinnati. Draver died in 1964.
